Workshop 2 - The Management of Judicial Images

Time: 5:30pm on Thursday 12th March, 2015

Image management. The second workshop brings together practitioners who are involved in commissioning and managing images of judicial institutions, with judges who are on the front line of image management together with image makers and scholars. Judges and court communications professional come from a variety of jurisdictions; Ireland, Philippines, Romania, the UK and the Ukraine. Issues being considered include

  • who are the key players in managing professional and popular images of the judiciary?
  • what are the biggest challenges to contemporary representations of the judiciary?
  • how are the judiciary responding to these challenges?how is the diversity of the judiciary addressed in image management settings?
  • what can be learnt from the experiences of relations between the media and the judiciary in different jurisdictions?
  • what role if any does social media play in managing the image of the judge?
  • how is the diversity of the judiciary addressed in image management settings?
