Professor Terry A Maroney

Terry Maroney is Professor of Law and Professor of Medicine, Health, and Society at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee (USA).  Her research focuses broadly on the intersection of law and emotion, with a particular focus on emotions in judging.  Professor Maroney collaborates with a large number of judicial organizations to explore how judges experience and regulate emotion in the course of their work.   Her article Angry Judges pays particular attention to the role of anger displays in images of judging.  Professor Maroney currently is researching the emotional aspects of judicial temperament, with implications for how judges act and how they are perceived.
